Harry Potter

I can't believe myself... Im a self-confessed Harry Potter fanatic and I have not read Book 7- Deathly Hallows. I should be ashamed!. Well, reason is that the paper back issue is not yet out in bookstores. I started collecting the book in paperbacks & i dont want to mess up my collection by having the last book in hard cover. But Im planning to buy the whole bunch of 7 hardbound books in a chest when the time comes. Its a great collection since i won't use it. I got the whole paperbacks whenever i want to reread them. I have a copy of an audio book though. But i found it hard to enjoy listening compared to reading it.

Aside from completing HP books, I've also started collecting stuffs worthy to keep. I bought them all in ebay! a replica of Hermione's timeturner by Warner Brothers; HP keychain by Lego; HP Book 1 - 5 original dvds, interactive game, trading cards, 5 bookmarks, HP box with goodies like a notebook, pencil case...a book about JK Rowling, a copy of the Magical World of HP. I'm always on the look out at ebay for new HP thingys that i can add to my collections. If you do know where i can buy HP stuffs, please let me know!

Alone in the room

Whew, it's been weeks since i have posted an entry to my blog (minus the tags)... as i write this entry, Im in Lipa City, Batangas... Anfa Hotel to be exact. I'll be here until tomorrow for my fieldwork. This is a WIFI zone hotel & is infront of Robinsons mall!!! Wow, what a great way to end the days work. It has been a routine for me that whenever I am in a province, I must buy sometthing... a souvenir... this time... my take home remembrance is a pair of shoes... uuhmm, pairs of shoes pala... hahahahah...

Sometimes its good to buy in provinces because good stuffs are always out of stock in Manila malls. Like when Im in Baguio years back, there was this bag I wanted very badly in Lacoste...i've gone thru almost all Lacoste branches in Manila.. that i bought in Lacoste In SM Baguio... i got the color i wanted!!!

My work allows me to go to one province to another. I practically been to all major cities of the Philippines & im very grateful to my company for this privilege. But of course, its not all pleasure, but work, work, work. What i dont like much is when i get to drive alone...especially in the north part of the country. Its true that i love long drives... it soothes my nerves & makes me think... really think be it personal or still work related. But long drives for me means driving to Batangas or Laguna... or even up to Pangasinan, period... But I cant bear really long drives like Baguio or Bicol without a companion...

Well. now, am alone in the room....with the TV on... & i realize that my blog is nearing its 3rd month.. that will be on August 1... yey! it means that i can sign in to servers that pay blogs!!! Since i have access to wifi, i better do my blog visit which I failed to do for weeks... See u all at your site!

BACK TO WORK

Whew, after a 3 day stint in Taal Vista, Tagaytay for our mid-year sales conference, Im exhausted!!! There are a lot of changes that were announced & major action plan to be taken for us to attain the annual target. Our market is in difficult times driven by the global increase in raw materials that constitute 80% of production input. Plus, big impact of the fuel price hike. But a company like ours, with the committed sales force & back room support, we must emerge from this situation with a decent 8% growth. We have also renewed our bond thru a memorable teambuilding activities… basketball, badminton… that’s the most exhausting part… and our group, Brand management is responsible of the staging from the conference & business proper to the product launching & fellowship.

Well. What a way to end this week to be able to start this week? I did go straight to shopping!!! My first stop after we came back from Tagaytay is... Shangrila Mall!!! But in vain… nothing has really caught my attention worthy enough to buy.. but the feeling of just malling & feasting my eye on the brands I love is rewarding already… Then I treated myself to a one hour and a half massage!!! The next day, I went to Duty Free… just the same, I was not able to shop… just groceries & pillows that were on sale… good enough…

Then, I went home early in the afternoon & set up my portable dvd in my room with snyders & tampico orange juice. I watched Hulk, Fools Gold & half of the Golden Compass…

Definitely, I will be going back to the mall before this week ends. I feel that I must buy me something that will satisfy me totally!!! What I have in mind? Brown office & casual shoes… ill check Aerosole or Naturalizer, office bag… Nine West or Elle… Fino is on sale!, a watch… I want to check out the new items in Suunto…

Menu for easing out stress for a better Life

I was in a deep state of stress for the the past 2 weeks...so, i found myself wondering what would be the best stress reliever that would carry me through all of these... Well, pick whats best for you....

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.

3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My purpose is to________ today.'

4. Eat more foods that grow on plants, and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

5. Drink green tea and plenty of water.

6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and forget about dinner... hehehehe

9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

To Tito Eddie, whom we now remember,

I offer this prayer to my tito who passed away yesterday. We lost him to cancer. He's been ill almost a year. I do missed him since he lives in the states for 25 years & just visit here from time to time. My recollection of him is that when we are young, he stayed at our house in Cavite before he left for the states to work. He took care of me & my sisters & i do remember the clothes he used to make for us... he is a tailor kasi.

I also remembered he was around during my elementary graduation & he is my exclusive photographer... Since he was working in an airline, there are times that hes here in the Phil unannounced.. he'll just surprise us. There was a time i remember i received a call form him @ 1:00 am ... too bad i cant fetch him cause Im in Davao that time...

He is my sisters wedding ninong, he should have been here during the wedding but it was the time we learned that he is sick.

Good thing I wasnt able to see him sick... i want to remember him with his usual smiling face...
