UNILAB BA YAN?

click the poster to learn more about Unilab.
For 10 years now, I have been part of the UNILAB family & experienced the Bayanihan way of life. I am proud to be part of it and what makes me doubly proud even was when the corporate ad of Unilab came out. My famly, friends & even neighbors acknowledge this fact that whenever they see me (when the ad was out in tri-media) they say, uy, Unilab, ang galing ah! My answer will be a smile (big grin even, hehehe) and I will say, syempre! Unilab e.

When I was hospitalized, I told my attending doctor & surgeon to prescribe Unilab products as much as possible. True enough, I got doses of Amoclav IV & Skelan & was prescribed as home medicine with Amoxiclav tab & Allerta. This is all part of the health benefit that we enjoy in Unilab!

Now, I'm so glad with the additional products that are lined up in Unilab. The following are the products I & my family usually use (service from the valle & purchases from the drugstore when I failed to get valle, hehehehe): Biogesic, Alaxan, Dolfenal, Enervon (C, tab, Prime), Neozep, Decolgen, Tuseran, Medicol, Nutroplex, Ceelin for my pamangkin, Vidastat, Glumet, Amvasc, Duavent for mommy & daddy, pH care, myra lotion... and a lot more!!!! My latest valle order was the face powder of Myra. You know what I did? I ordered 6 pieces. Its not just for me and my sisters, I will give them to my friends so that they will try it. Well, sampling is the best way to induce trial, right? I did that also when pH care was launched, and now, they told me that they use it forever na!

Well, anecdotes involving UNILAB in my life are so many to tell & blog about. What I know is that UNILAB has become a way of life to all employees of the company. For those who are not a part of this family, you can still experience being a part by just using the wide array of products... I think all would agree, that these products has come your way in more ways than one. I can even say that, even without statistics...that at least 90% of the male/female, aged 20 to 60 of the Philippine population, from the time Biogesic was introduced in the market is practically aware and better yet, has taken Biogesic? Well, just an assumption...

I was Down and Out

I was hospitalized! Moreso, I had an operation (minor)! I was admitted to the hospital for chronic sinusitis. I was discharged from the hospital just now and I have been there since Monday, 2 am! I'm not expecting my condition to be this worse until the right side of my face started to swell. I had headache since Saturday & Sunday and then on Monday, I went straight to our company clinic for check up and the doctor confirmed that it was sinusitis & gave me strong antibiotics, decongestant & pain releiver. With these at hand, I thought it would be enough to cure it. So, I did not let it bother me thorugh the day and I was able to attend to two of my meetings. But after work, around 6:30 pm, I'm in pain and I cannot drive, so I asked an officemate to get me home. But not too long as I was resting in our apartment that I came down and asked my sister if my BIL can take me to the nearest hospital. And so I went, thinking that I won't be admitted and that the resident doctor will just inject me with antibiotics, steroids maybe for the swelling and pain reliever. I was so wrong, and they are so right! I needed to be admitted for close monitoring medication program because the swelling caused by sinusitis (confirmed in the paranasal x-ray) is near the brain and is dangerous if not properly treated. Yaiks, that really gave me the creeps! Good thing I went to see a doctor! I responded with the antibiotics (3 days) & steroids (2 days). Yey, thank God the pain is gone. I was bored already with nothing to do but to watch TV. But on my fourth day, swelling is much worst than the first time. The doctor, with my consent (naturally, I will say yes) decided to do the operation.. I was put to sleep, it lasted for 5 hours (from the time anesthesia was injected to the time I was conscious. Post operation was not that difficult. What I know is that the pain is now gone!!!! There's swelling still but no more pain.

Now, I have to be careful. I have to wear mask especially if I'm in the field. I got to finish all the take home medicines & be back to see my doctors for final prognosis.

It has been a week! I was down with sinusitis and out from work & blogging!

I missed the Baguio trip! Huhuhuhuhu...

Dreams May Come True

I don't want to pre-empt but I'm too excited not to blog this. I was just invited by my very close friend to go with her in Europe this coming July! Trip to Europe is my fondest dream! I really want to work for it to come true! The things that will keep me not pursuing this and make this dream of mine not to happen is the time. I need at least 3 weeks off from work. Then, of course visa approval. The money can be raised from now until june. I have to plan for this. This is now or never! Wish me luck.

Holiday Weight

I love the Holidays! I love x-mas bazaars, that's why. And I love parties & gifts. I love the Christmas food and sweets! What I don't like really much is the eating habit we get to develop during this season. How can we escape if eating is a way of life during holidays. This means adding up on weight again. I can't help it because of the parties here and there.

Loosing weight has been my forever goal in life. Gaining weight is very expensive because there are times that I get to realize some of my pants & clothes won't fit me anymore. So embarrassing!. Life is so unfair because extra weight comes as we get older. Huhuhuhuhu. I started going to the gym for some cardio & badminton with friends, but it lasted only for several weeks because of work schedule. We even started eating greens but preparing for them makes us lazy & forget about it. There's always food at the canteen, we say.

Now, I'm tempted to use Safe Diet Pills after the holiday. Hahahaha, read: after the holiday! I don't want to put pressure since I get to have loads of it from work, thats why I will try. Hahaha, bunch of lame excuses. Well, I'll browse through health & wellness site for more motivational push. What I want are those that are guaranteed effective & safe. Well, if anyone of you can recommend, so much the better.

My DVD Collection

I collect DVD's and from my latest count, I have at least 400. I do categorize them. Cartoons, 3d Animation, Romance/Feel Good, Fantasy/Adventure, Action/Suspense, Classic & Drama. I encoded them all and made borrowers card for each, then, I kept them in a box. I also started numbering them & putting codes. I use this system whenever someone will borrow from my collection. This way, I can track those that are not yet returned.

But now, I decided to remove them all from the box because its using a lot of space in our apartment. I bought a DVD organizer that has pockets also for the label.

Right now, its 80% done. Thanks to Mommy who heped me remove them from the cases. How I wonder if I can sell those cases. I wish I could so that it will fund the cost of the organizer. One organizer can carry 42 DVDs.

Catching Up

Wow, I missed blogging. Got lots of things to blog about but I don't know where & what to start. I have posted entries in the past weeks but mostly on paid post. Hehehe, got to earn extra bucks for the holidays. A lot of things has been going on this past weeks. I think the best way to back track details I want to write here is for me to do a list. Yes, that's me... am into a habit of listing things...but I'm proud to say that I stick to my lists. Well, here goes...
1. Neo's final birthday preps
2. Neo's b-day party
3. A close colleague leaving our company
4. X-mas bazaars & shopping spree
5. Trip to Baguio
6. New books to read
7. DVD collection

I think this will do for the meantime...

Computer Games

Are you a computer games fanatic? Well, good for you because nowadays, you can just select a game that you fancy at the moment in the internet. As for me, am not really into computer games, besides the fact that I get eye problems when I'm in front of a computer monitor for long.
But if there is a chance that I get to play, am into word games and some kids computer games. What I'm saying is, installing games in your lap top or desk top can't hurt! Well, in fact, I do have some in my lap top like iphone games & mac solitaire. Kids and adults alike can now choose from different types of games to enjoy.

These are all available in midoritech.com. You can browse it just like I did and you can choose from their game menu the one that will suit you.
