Christmas Giveaways

Yey! I just finished giving out gifts to my close friends & office mates. I had a hard time completing them! And I really cannot decide which is better- buying gifts as early as October or buying gifts on the last minute? This year, I started piling up gift items in my room starting October.

Gifts for girls are easy. But for guys, uuurrggghhh, diffucult round. Maybe because I don't like lurking in the mens section.. hehehehe. So I settled with formal Socks and white under shirts. I bought those at good price. I learned that mens things are costly than that of the ladies. For girls, we can easily find fancy thingys from wallets, purse, hair accessories, cologne and even a decent bag at very reasonable price. Well, I hope they will appreciate the gifts, moreso of the effort!

And since I'm talking about buying gifts, I volunteered in buying the raffle items for our group's christmas party. All in all, we are 20 and the task is to buy 20 items (unisex items, of course) with a budget of 10,000. I love the idea! Everyone of us gets a prize. So the challenge for me is to buy very very nice items for all. Hahahaha, we finished spending the 10,000 gift check in less than 2 hours! Here's what we got ( I was with Tina)... (2) Rustans Bath towel, (3) TravelPro Travelling Bag (really nice, got it on sale!), (5) pairs if Havaianas flip flops (since we don't know who will get these, i asked for individual receipts in case of size replacement, they said including Havaianas in the list was a brilliant idea!) (4) TravePro Travelling Kit & clutch (nice one, too), (6) assortment of Rustans lotion & bath gel.

Our party was a blast! Apart from those gifts, we all got our wishes granted. You see, we listed our gift wishes 1 week before our party and its mandatory that one gets to buy the wish of his/her "baby".

With all the parties, food & gifts that we all be having, let's not forget the real reason of this season.

Merry Christmas To All!!!

Fast Forward

As the days of December passes by, I have this feeling that everything is on the fast forward mode! I should be resting a bit after the operation but I can't afford it. Our 2008 homecoming and 2009 kick off rally is scheduled on december 17 to 20. Though I'm not assigned to critical roles in the preparation, I still have the marketing guidelines and new product launch to oversee.

But given all these, and the spirit of Christmas is in the air, I cannot be grouchy. We still manage to squeeze in time for malling to check for gifts & wish lists. X-mas parties are now all in the offing! And we have a sort of an extended xmas vacation. Our company will close for the hoilidays on the 22nd and will resume on Jan 5. Yahoo!!!
